Shared mode and devices

Shared mode lets a child use the home phone with their own profile. QR codes connect co-guardians or children who have their own phone.

Shared mode

Use one family phone: the guardian chooses the child, the child uses their profile, then control returns to the adult (optional PIN).

Hand the phone to the child

1. Open Dashboard → Shared mode.
2. Choose the child.
3. Hand them the phone: they will see their missions and the Magic Chest.

If there are no children yet, Habitopia will ask you to add one first.

Regain control

1. The child taps the For adults tab.
2. If they have a PIN, they enter it.
3. If a family admin PIN exists, it may also be required.
4. Choose who regains control today (Mom, Dad, or Guardian).

Enable the admin PIN

1. Dashboard → Settings.
2. Enable Admin PIN (4 digits).
3. Confirm it.

If you forget it, you can reset it by confirming your guardian account password.

Devices and QR

• Generate temporary QR codes for guardians or children.
• See devices linked to the family.
• Remove devices unused for more than 60 days.

Generate an invite QR

1. Open Dashboard → Devices.
2. Choose Guardians or Children.
3. Tap Show QR.
4. If you need a new one, generate another: the previous one stops working.

QR codes are usually valid for about 30 minutes and are single-use.
